Splinter Cell by Tom Clancy

The section I read today reminded me of the TV show CSI beacause it started out with a chase. CSI usually starts something like that. Then Fisher (the main character) had to evade ther two people following him. He had a little trouble losing them. He had to go down some allys and stuff like that.

dreamland By: Sarah Dessen

The section I read today reminded me of the book 'Boy Like You'. 'Boy Like You' is another book written by Sarah Dessen. This section reminds me of that book because in 'Boy Like You' the main character faces a relationship in which her parents dont approve. Caitlin (the main character of 'dreamland') begins a relationship with a boy named Rogerson, who has a bad reputation. Caitlins parents are well aware of the chaos that Rogerson will soon bring into Caitlins life. However Caitlin refuses to break up with him.

Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman

The section I read today reminded me of the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I thought this because in both books the main characters have to compete with others in order to win a prize. The main character of Full Tilt, Blake, has to successfully live through seven of the theme park rides without the other riders slaying him. If he does this he will be prized with being allowed to leave the park. Also, Blake and Harry Potter both did not intend to join their challenges, but try hard to win anyway.

Heat by: Mike Lupica

The section I read today reminded of the movie, The bad news bears because both of them have a girl who shows up the boys.In the bad news bears, the coach gets a girl to be their pitcher, all the boys laugh and say girls can't throw, untill she strikes them all out. In the book Heat, Mike and Manny meet a girl who likes baseball, they underestimate her untill she pitched to Manny and they found out that she has a rocket for an arm. When I was reading the section, I immediately thought of the girl from the bad news bears because both the girls had amazing arms and both of them showed up boys.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by JK Rowling

The section I read today reminded me of the movie Spiderman, because in the movie, Peter Parker, who is the main character and Spiderman, tells the woman that he loved that he could not be together because his enemies would hunt her down and use her as a hostage. In the novel, Harry tells Ginny that they could not be together because Voldemort would take her to make Harry give himself up.

The section I read today reminded me of a LifeTime movie because it is always dramitic. Trixie's fathers finds out that Trixie is in Alaska. Trixie ran away because when she was sexual assaulted she was blammed of killing her attacker. I think that they should make this into a movie because of how much detail of drama is in it. Lifetime movies usally have alot of dramatic accidents and they were the first thing that popped into my head.

The section I read today reminded me of the latest Harry Potter movie (Order of the Phoenix) Because both Rick Dockery (main Charicter) and Harry Potter at some point feel as if they are alone in a needy situation.

Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer

The section i read today reminded me of the "Hatchet." "Hatchet" is a book about a boy who has to survive in the wild by himself on an island. Chris the main character of "Into the Wild" is trying to survive in the wild as well. They both have to survive with very little supplies. Also the main characters of both books aren't very knowledgeable in survival skills.

Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen

The section I read today reminded me of the movie "I am Lengend" because Will Smith is the last man on earth and he thinks about his wife and kids just how Brian thinks about his mom, friends and his teachers. He is also being attacked by mosquitoes just how Will Smith is being attacked my human and animal zombies.

Forever Odd by Dean Koontz

The section I read today reminded me of the book Mr. Murder because both of the main characters had their lives changed in the same way. Both characters were being chased by a mysterious man. The mysterious man in both books remained a mystery most of the time. However, the problem was solved differently in both books.

The section I read today didn't strongly remind me of anything. If i had to say it reminded me of something, the only thing I can think of off hte top of my head is the movie I Am Ledgend. In the movie, people were being injected with a "cure" to cancer to help better themselves. In the book, the girl Chrissie is about to be injected with a strange substance that is thought to better and more efficiantly advance the human race. The resembles i can make out of these two things is that in both cases the substance is having a negative effect and is reverting the people injected with the substance back to a more primal and barbaric being. Also in the book and in this movie, after the change has happened the peoples eyes were altered.

Please excuse any spelling errors in this passage.

the boy who saved baseball
by john h. ritter

The section I read today of the boy who saved baseball reminded me of the movie the sandlot. This is because Tom Gallgher wanted to save the baseball feild that the constructors are knocking down in Dilliontown. This reminded me of sandlot because it is about a bunch of kids who love the game of baseball just like Tom. I think that if Tom met the crew of sandlot they would get along very well.

Looking For Alaska by John Green

The section I read today reminded me of tbe movie Transformers. Alaska and many of the other teenage students that go to the boarding school all drive around campus in old, used cars. In the movie, Transformers, the main character goes car shopping and ends up with an old car as well.

Shadowstorm by Paul S. Kemp

The section i read today reminded me of the book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix because Harry and his friends have to train their abilities to protect themselves. IN Shadowstorm, Magadon and his companions must train their abilities to fight against shadow and Mephistopheles.

The section I read today reminded me of the song, Absolutely because both the section in the book and the song are about a girl who can't seem to find happiness. Lauren is beginning to become frustrated with her unsatisfying life. She is looking for somethig more. This completely describes the lyrics of the song Absolutely. I would like to see Lauren finally become happy.

Summer's End by Audrey Couloumbis

The section I read today reminded me of the "Wizard of Oz". In Summer's End, Mrs. Miller tells everyone that Collin burned his draft card and that he should be in jail. This is very similar to the "Wizard of Oz" when Ms. Gulch tries to take Toto away from Dorothy after Toto bit her in the leg. Both Mrs. Miller and Ms. Gulch like to stir up trouble.

The section i read today reminded me of the movie the Longest Yard because they took this enormous man out of the cells. Just like In the second Longest Yard they took the enormous man out of his cell to play football, in this case the man is getting a death sentance. This man's name was John coffey. John Coffey and the man from the Longest Yard are very similiar they are very tall, very broad and very strong. They both probably murdered someone too.

Al Capone by Diane Yancey

The part of the book i read today reminded me of Maniac Magee. This reminded be of that because Al Capone was put into jail. Every time something botherd Al he would over react and start yelling. This is similar to Maniac Magee. Maniac lived with his aunt and uncle and they never talked to eachother. This botherd him so one day he starts screaming in school "Why won,t they talk to each other?"

The selection i read yesterday reminded me of the movie miricle because nick gets injured and can't play hockey with his team from getting checked on the open ice. He has to get reports on how his team is doing. In miricle one of the players has to watch the champion ship game from the TV.

Pretty Little Liars

The section i read today reminded me of the tv show One Tree Hill because there is a lot of drama in the two. In the book Pretty Little Liars, the girls have a huge slumber party. They talk about their lives, boys, school, family, etc. and have an enormous pillow fight. After all the excitment, two of the girls said somethings they shouldnt, and got in an arugement. Their sleepover was then wrecked and one of the girls came home. This relates to One Tree Hill because the main characters also have a sleepover. They are all best friends and have a pillow fight, talk and watch movies. At the end of the episode, the girls get in a fight over a guy and they all leave.

The section I read today reminded me of the fictional documentary released in 2005 by Fx. In the movie one man created the smallpox disease himself and infects himself. He also infects 10 other people on a manhatten subway train . Those people each infect 10 other people which causes a chain reaction. By the time they are able to stop the spread of the disease 60 million people worldwide are killed. This is similar to the book Iam reading because there is a yellow fever epidimic that kills 5000 people in philadelphia. Although the section I read does not deal with the large number of death as portrayed in the movie, the horror and fearfullness that is felt by the survvors is a common theme.

Desperation by Stephen King

This section I read today reminded me this song called "Pscyco Man" by Black Sabbath/ Ozzy Osbourn, because in the book the Sheriff, of course is a Pscyco, probably not even human, is running around framing everybody that drives by "his territory" then taking them to jail, then he either kills them or beats them for the fun of it, he also nails animals to signs for the fun of it and that is sick. "Looking for a victim wherever he can
Psycho man, psycho man
He's the killer" This is the part that reminds me of the Sheriff.
"Addicted to the madness
The taste of death that lives within
He loves it when he takes their final breath
Stalking gives him pleasure
Killing is the final act
He takes no pity with his lust for death"
"Killing gives him pleasure
Sleeping gives him pain
The only time he's feeling good
Is when he's killed and killed again"
These last two parts of the song are the parts that remind me of the book and the sheriff. Its like this song was made for this book!
