Enders Game
Orson Scott Card

In my book Enders Game, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main charecter Ender, it would be this- dont forget your family. I would offer this advice because on page # 235 Valentine, Enders sister, tries to get closer to him after many years apart and Ender is defensive and has barriers preventing him to show emmotion to his sister. If Ender realizes that she is the only one alive who has real affection towards him and who he himself has towards her, he would not be the emmotional reck that he is now. My advice would keep Ender at a stable emmotional state. He would have a much easier time copeing with all of the stress and pain that battle school is laying on him.

The Big Field
By Mike Lupica

In My book The Big Field, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Hutch, it would it would be this- don't worry if Darryl Williams is susposed to be the best player on the team. He took your spot work twice as hard to get it back; show him he's not the best. Show him he cant just walk on the team and not have to work to play, work harder then him if you want your spot back. I would offer this advice because to Hutch playing shortstop is a way of life. Hutch and his best friend Cody were susposed to bring thier team to the Legion ball Championship game, but Daryl came and sent Hutch to Cody's position, second base, and broke up the "dynamic-duo". I think this is good advice because Hutch is really upset about Daryl coming to the team, and stealing his position. He also feels like he is completely unappreciated because everyone thinks Daryl is the nex best player, next to Alex Rodriguez, to come out of Miami. Hutch can even admit his feelings to Cody on page 11, because he wants to be a good team mate even if he doesn't like Daryl because he knows that with him on the team they have a good chance at going to the Championship game.

The Jump
Ian O'Connor

In my book The Jump, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Sebastian, it would be this - do not get caught up in the fame and glory of being a star. A lot of times big high school basketball players get caught up in the moment. I would offer this advice because on page #287 the author states that Sebastian will make more than $500,000 a year of sponsors. He would make 18 million guaranteed by Adidas. He have marketing deals with Lexus, Sprint, Armani, trading cards, internet company's and many more. I think that would get to Sebastian's head and` may`be he would make then wrong decision. Sebastian has a lot of talent and doesn't want to ruin his career by getting caught up in glory.

The Red Kayak
By- Priscilla Cummings

In my book, The Red Kayak, written by Priscilla Cummings, If I could offer one piece of advice to the main character, Brady, it would be this; go with your feelings, don’t let your friends sway you from what you know is the right thing to do. I would offer this advice because on page # 12, Brady talks about how Digger was so callous that morning. Digger felt that if Mr. D’Angelo was so stupid to go out that morning in his kayak then he would take what was coming…bad weather. J.T. too, agreed with Digger. Brady couldn’t believe that they could be so blind to the awful possibilities. Brady tried to remind them that Mr. D’Angelo could die, twenty minutes in the water was more than any person could take. Brady said” We ought to yell something.” But he did nothing. It’s easy to sit back now and offer this piece of advice. Unfortunately, everyone is subject to the same problem that Brady was up against. Peer pressure. Everyday it happens to someone. We all know what is the right thing to do, but not to look stupid in front of our friends we go along with the crowd. Brady was no different. I don’t think anyone that was put into Brady’s shoes that morning would have done anything different. Digger hated the D’Angelo’s because they bought his Grandfather’s house. He felt they were taking his memories away. It is really sad that little Ben and his mother were the one’s in the kayak that morning. Had Brady, Digger and J.T. knew that, I truly feel they would have stopped them. But then how would the book turn out? As I continued to finish the book I felt it taught me a very valuable lesson. Do what is right; listen to your feelings, not your friends. Now Brady has to live with the fact that little Ben died and he could have prevented that.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
J.K. Rowlings

In the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, if I could offer one piece to the main character Harry, it would be this-try to get the Dursley family to become friendly with magic people because there is a Quidditch World Cup that only happens every 30 years and the Weasleys got great tickets for them (pg 30). If the Dursleys learned to understand and accept the fact that Harry was special then maybe they could be invloved in the exciting and fun life Harry has. I think that if i could tell Harry something else it would be to see if you could live somewhere different because Harry would be able to share his feelings to people that are going through the same thing. I think that if Harry was in an enviornment that he could relate to it would be alot better for him.

Glass
Ellen Hopkins

In my book Glass, by Ellen Hopkins, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Bree, it would be this - to always second think her actions. Bree has so much stress on her life and she always chooses the wrong thing to do. Between her baby and getting ready for college, her only choice in life is to take her time on things and don’t give up . I would offer this advice because on page # 115, she lies to her mom and her step dad. She told them that she was going to a college fair for new students. But really she was going to her friends house for a party. Since she has a baby and she hasn’t been able to live her teenage life, she finds the best way to escape her house and go have fun without any worries.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea
By Jules Verne

In my book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Proffessor Arronax, it would be this- do not go deep sea hunting with Captain Nemo in those deep sea suits. I would offer this advice because on page 123 captain Nemo had to throw proffessor Arronax to the ground, to avoid being eaten by two ferocious sharks. Luckily sharks can not see very well so they swam right by the two men. They escaped and went back to the Nautilus submarine to eat the otter that they caught. This advice is useful to the Nautilus crew because they could have been devoured by sharks.

Treasure Island
Robert Louis Stevenson

In my book Treasure Island, if I could offer one piece of advise to the main character Jim Hawkins it would be to stop searching all over for gold, treasure, exitment, woman, and happiness. I would tell him to just look around first, because he might not find what he is looking for and because the trip might be dangerous. But, on the other hand everyone can use a good voyage once in thier life to connect with their iner self. Maybe he will find treasure and have what he wants. I think he should should look at what he has now and think about the journey first. Long John Silver is also a main character in this story. He will be joining Jim Hawkins. I would give him the same advice. He should treasure what he has now and then go and find more. On page 4 Jim says," This is a handy cove and a pleasent sittyated grog-shop." This shows that they are happy where they are. This journey will bring them danger and hopefuly
happiness with it.

Homeboyz

Alan Laerence Sitomer

In my book Home Boyz, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character teddy, it would be this to tell him not to attack the gang without any back up. If he does not have back up then he will be out numbered and will be killed. He can still get revenge on the gang by attacking them at night and with a lot of people behind him. Then he will get revenge on the gang that attacked his little sister. If I was ever in his position I would always go and get revenge on the person who attacked my sister. But if it was an big enough gang I would make my own little gang and I would attack them at night and when they least expect it. When he attacks him he better not leave any hints behind that leave him in that spot because then the cops will be able to trace him. This is good advice because if he did not bring back up he would die in a minute. He would be the laughter of the town if he went there and dies.

In my book "For One More Day", if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Chick, it would be this - Spend everyday to the fullest and don't waste your time getting drunk. I would offer this advice because on page # 15, he gets into a car accident and could have destroyed his life. It was due to DWI because of all his depression of his mom's death. Chick's mother comes back from the dead though and teaches Chick a few things he is destined to know. This book is about having one more chance to learn. Not everyone gets a second chance. Death isn't always a bad thing because it teaches people about their mistakes and how to fix them.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Anna Brashares

In my book The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main characters it would be this – treat others the way you would wish to be treated. I would offer this advice because on page #, Lena constantly talks about not wanting to see Kostos. This boy really likes her and always pops up places. Although Lena wants nothing to do with him, she cannot seem to shake him loose. Another example is in the case when Bridget has to finally say goodbye to Eric. They both know that they cannot be together because camp relationships are forbidden. It seems that neither of them can give in to their feelings. These girls have to respect their friends for the decisions that they are making and just move on. They should not hold any grudges against them.

Period 3
Fahrenheit 451 by: Ray Bradbury

In my book Fahrenheit 451 if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Guy Montag it would be this, do not be fireman. I would offer this because on pg.4 he is making comments as if he were delusional and if you can’t handle the heat do not be a fireman. During the book he talks as if he were confused as if someone were out to get him it is a creepy thought. Like when he was rounding the corner out of the firehouse he has come to a stop thinking someone is around the corner but it is just leafs and a little girl walking. Why does he think someone is out to get him, he is just confused by the heat maybe. He is an innocent fireman but he does have a pyrotechnic side to him if he likes his job to see things burn. Maybe there is a surprise waiting for us why he works at this job, maybe an incident. The book is telling us a second to second story of his life it does not miss a thing and I am wondering if we will stumble upon a area where it explains why is he crazy. I don’t know what to think maybe it is just me. He has to stop being a fireman unless he can’t for some reason we will find out because he seems like a desk person one spot no questioning it seems a lot safer for him.

Lauren Myracle

In my book Ttyl, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Maddie, it would be this, try not to get mad at the people who try to help you. I would offer this advice because on page # 26 Maddie and Angela are instant messaging each other and Maddie is complaining on how their other friend, Zoe always corrects her grammar. Maddie also explains that she hates feeling stupid; how Zoe always seems to be smarter and better than them. The truth is someone is always going to try to help and correct you. It’s not that you are unintelligent it’s just that it takes you more time to comprehend something, or you just didn’t understand it.
As for Maddie, she obviously has some pet peeve and seems to be the independent type who doesn’t need help. Then again Zoe was just trying to be a true friend and tell her the ways to spell their, there, and they’re. Often words that everyone misspells. Angela, the messenger of all the drama, tries to persuade Maddie that Zoe is just helping out. Later in the book, Maddie decides to let loose of the grudge, and move on. Knowing that everyone will correct you in life.

In my book Impulse, By Ellen Hopkins, If i could offer one piece of advice to one of the main charecters Vanessa, it would be to think about herself better. She could be living her life better then it is but she thought suicide was the right thing. Now shes stuck in Aspen Springs, a psychiatric hospital. She doesnt wanna be there there so the best thing to do is behave. She has to try to stay strong and work with everything. On page 19 she says she hates the feeling that someone cares, but they dont. she has to know that people do care and do wanna help her.

Black Powder War
Naomi Novik

In my book black powder war, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Laurence, it would be this - He needs to be more patient. I would offer this advice because on page # 77 he lost his best man by going into battle to early without thinking over the fight plan. This was a huge problem because now he would surely lose because he was already out-numbered. He lost that battle and most of his men. This book is already getting interesting I hope that his remaining men get it together and win this war. But the only way that will happen is Laurence stops rushing through all his plans he does this a lot so far in the book and things aren't going so well for him. He's lost his best man and most of his 600 plus army of men and dragons. I hope this book keeps up the high action it’s been throwing at me. It is an awesome book and I recommend it so far. If Laurence was more patient it would be perfect.

TTYL
by Lauren Myrcle

In my book TTYL, if I could offer one piece of advice to the main character Maddie it would be this -stop worrying about what other people think. I would offer this advice because on page 3 she was so worried that high school was going to be different and that she wasn't going to be with Angela. She in the same gym class as her. One thing that she worried about was what she had to acutally do in gym class. She felt like she was the odd one out. Her friend tried to make it seem like everyone has an embarrasing moment but it didn't seem to work. I think Maddie needs to start to worry about other things then just her reputation.
